Q 1. When will I get my Answering rights?

The answering rights will be provided within a few days after the completion of the training modules that will be provided to the expert.


Q 2. When will I get my login credentials?

Chegg Q&A login credentials are provided on the very first day of receiving the answering privileges through email.

Note: Experts are requested to thoroughly check their spam as well as promotions folder in case they do not receive our emails in time.


Q 3. How can I change my account password?

To reset the password, expert may follow the given steps:

  1. Click on “Forgot Password?” option at the bottom of the Sign in window
  2. Enter the registered email address
  3. You will receive an email containing a password reset link. Please wait for some time for the email and do not forget to check the spam or promotions folder.
  4. Follow the instructions to reset the password.

Once you have successfully reset your password, click on the login link.


Q 4. What are the benefits of completing the training modules?

These training modules will help you with the following points:

  • Improve your C.F score
  • Increase the quality of your solution
  • Enhance your knowledge about the Chegg honor code and guidelines
  • Provide guidance for best Q&A practices

Q 5. How can I change bank or my personal details?

Chegg does not entertain any modifications relating to bank/personal details.

In case experts have a valid and genuine concern (cases of Bank Merger/Account Closure), they are requested to raise a ticket here: https://support.cheggindia.com/portal/newticket

Note- For bank account closure, experts may please share the bank closure documents (from the bank) with us. After the verification, their bank details will be updated in the records.

In case of IFSC changes, experts may share updated passbook/Cheque book with new IFSC code over the ticket.


Q 6. Are questions according to Indian or foreign standards?

Chegg's most of the student base are from the US, hence the questions would be according to their own standards.

Some questions may require knowledge about specific laws/policies pertaining to different countries. The question shall be solved if the expert has the knowledge, else skip it under “I do not have subject knowledge.”

If any question is in a non-English language, experts may solve the question only if they understand the language. Else, skip it as "Needs more information" and ask the student to post the question in English. Remember! Solutions are to be provided in English language only.

Irrespective of the country of origin, solutions to all Qs must be prepared using the same Q&A Guidelines.


Q 7. Who is my subject lead?

Experts will be informed about their subject leads once they receive their answering rights.


Q 8. How can I change my subject?

As per our process, we do not entertain any subject modifications (addition/change) requests. Kindly do not raise any ticket for the same.

Q 9. How or when will I receive the payment?

Expert payments are processed once a month through NEFT Bank transfer by the 15th of Every month for all the valid solutions submitted in the preceding month between 1st-31st.

For Example - For all the Valid responses submitted by an expert between 1st-30th April, payments will be processed by 15th May.

Q 10. When will I be added to the Telegram Channel?

Experts will be added to the Telegram Channel only after getting the answering rights. If you need any support in the meanwhile, please visit Expert Support


Q 11. What is the Chegg Learning Platform?

www.cheggindia.teachable.com is Chegg's new learning platform for experts to learn the best answering practices loaded with engaging video tutorials, interesting examples and exciting quizzes. This will help experts understand the guidelines better and chart their own path to success on Chegg Q&A.


Q 12. My Chegg Learning Platform id/password not working

To log in to Chegg's training modules, use email ID registered with

If the password is not working or an expert forgot the password that they had set themselves, they can recover password using the 'forgot password' option available below the Login button.

If experts do not receive the password reset instructions in the email inbox, they may try the following:

  1. Check the spam/junk/promotion folder.
  2. Clear cache:
  3. For Mozilla Firefox, Go to Preferences > Advanced panel > Clear Now inside Cached Web Content.
  4. For Google Chrome, Click the Menu > More tools > Clear browsing data (Cached image & files box should be ""✓"")
  5. Try the most updated versions of browsers or switch the device (desktop computer, laptop, mobile, tab, etc.)


Q 13. Are the tutorials mandatory?

Yes, it is mandatory to complete the training modules.

It is in fact one of the most crucial steps to complete before starting to submit solutions on Chegg Q&A. Remember, solving questions without completing the training modules can affect expert's account status adversely.


Q 14. My training got stuck at a certain percentage, what should I do?

If the training gets stuck at a certain percent, experts may clear cache and cookies and log in to the platform again.

  • For Mozilla Firefox, Go to Preferences > Advanced panel > Clear Now inside Cached Web Content.
  • For Google Chrome, Click the Menu > More tools > Clear browsing data (Cached image & files box should be ""✓"")

Note: Experts may try the most updated versions of browsers or switch the device (desktop computer, laptop, mobile, tab, etc.)


Q 15. Can I refer my friend?

At present, Chegg does not have any ongoing referral program. If any such program is introduced, expert referral code will be shared through email.
